Joanne Dalusung, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, VA-BC, CCRN-K, has been an advanced practice provider from the Acute Care Procedure Team for eleven years. Her primary role is performing hospital procedures, which include placement of centrally interested vascular access devices, implanted venous port removal, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture. She started working as an intensive care clinical nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center on December 8, 2003. In August 2011, she joined the Infusion Therapy Department, where she started her vascular access specialty career, inserting PICC lines and managing vascular access devices. She was the president of the Vascular Access Certification Corporation in 2023 and is currently a board member of AVA.
