Sean Lau, MBA, BSN, BS, RN, VA-BC serves as the Patient Care Manager for the Vascular Access and Specialty Procedures Teams at Stanford Health Care. Sean possesses over a decade of direct experience as a vascular access nurse, but also has successfully practiced continous improvement and TQM within the semiconductor industry. He has lectured at the regional, national and international forum on topics related to CLABSI prevention, VAD standards and guidelines, and ultrasound guided PIVC insertion. Sean currently co-leads Stanford’s CLABSI Prevention Taskforce, chairs AVA's Clinical Review Team, and is the president of SJC Vascular Access, a nursing focused company focused on providing competency validation.
