Megan May, BSN, RN, CPEN

Originally from Asheville, NC, Megan May began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. She thrived in the high-pressure environment of a Level 1 Trauma Center, where she developed strong skills in stabilizing critically ill patients. Later, she transitioned to the Pediatric ED, finding fulfillment in supporting children and families during emergencies. After seven years in emergency care, Megan joined Carilion’s PICC and Vascular Access Team to expand her expertise in vascular access. This role has allowed her to continue growing her knowledge base while serving patients in a new capacity.
