Infection Preventionist

DJ Shannon, MPH, CIC, VA-BC, FAPIC is an infection preventionist with over 10 years of experience spanning research, state public health, academics, and acute care hospitals. His focus is on the intersection of infection prevention, antimicrobial resistance, and device-associated infections. He was a Clinical Reviewer for the 2021 INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice and a co-author of the AVA Standards of Care for PIVCs. Most recently, he served as the lead author for the APIC Implementation Guide for Preventing CABSI in Adults.
