Melanie Walsh, BSN, RN, CPN, has been a registered nurse at Children’s Health since 2017 and has served as a bedside nurse on the Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU) since 2018. Most recently, she held the role of Safety and Quality (SAQ) Nurse for the ACCU—a position she played an integral role in developing and implementing. In this capacity, she helped drive unit-based quality initiatives and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Before entering the nursing profession, Melanie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and worked in healthcare consulting. Melanie brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and business insight into her role, with a commitment to supporting nursing practice, improving patient outcomes and advancing evidence-based practice.
