Tomoko Ray, MBA, RRT, CIC, VA-BC, brings over a decade of healthcare experience, beginning her career in 2012 as a respiratory therapist. She spent six years in lead and supervisory roles, specializing in adult critical care, NICU, and labor & delivery. In 2021, she transitioned into infection prevention and was promoted to supervisor in 2025.

Tomoko is passionate about airway care and vascular access, and she champions a collaborative, team-driven approach to improving patient outcomes. Her initiatives include implementing alcohol-impregnated caps and CHG dressings for arterial lines, contributing to a remarkable13 consecutive months of zero CLABSI in the ICU. She continues to focus on enhancing PIV and midline care in her assigned units to further reduce CLABSI rates and promote best practices in vascular access management.
