Wayne Teipen is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience specializing in ultrasound guided vascular access. He is currently a Senior Clinical Sales Specialist for Teleflex in the Vascular Division providing educational support on ultrasound guided vascular access, central line navigation technologies, as well as peripheral and central venous, and arterial access. He is passionate about ultrasound anatomy and concepts relevant to vascular access. Wayne has authored and copyrighted educational curriculum on ultrasound guided vascular access to include comprehensive ultrasound anatomy. He also manages and authors, “A Deeper Dive,” a column in Journal of the Association for Vascular Access (JAVA). Believing the very best way to mitigate and reduce the risk of iatrogenic injury related to vascular access is the use of ultrasound and a firm knowledge of the relevant anatomy, Wayne is dedicated to advancing the body of knowledge to help improve practice and positively impact the experiences and lives of patients.
