Guadalupe Ordaz-Nielsen BSN, VA-BC has been a nurse for 27 years. Areas of specialty include critical care and vascular access.
Guadalupe was adult team lead and task force member who helped implement a new nine-member vascular access team at Rush University Medical Center that provides vascular access support by placing PICCs, midlines and USGPIVs in the adult and pediatric patient population.
Guadalupe is the recipient of the 2024 Rush Nurse Research Fellowship Program, her area of research is aimed at describing the outcomes associated with the insertion of an additional vascular access devices when a patient has an existing infusion port.
