Blanche Murphy, BSN, RN, VA-BC, is the Assistant Nursing Director of the Venous Access Team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She has specialized in venous access nursing since 1990. She has worked in Interventional Radiology and has been Nurse Coordinator for the Central Line Service, Parenteral/Enteral and Venous Access Consultant, Clinical Advisor for Vascular Access. In addition she teaches in the Boston College William F. Connell School of Nursing Continuing Education Chestnut Hill MA, served on a board for BIORX/dbaThrive RX and spoken at AVA previously. She is on the Editorial review Board for JAVA and on the Board for MAVAN the local chapter for Boston.
