This 60-minute breakout session will focus on the interpretation of statistics used in JAVA publication. It is essential AVA member what are good statistics and bad statistics. These essentials will be the focus of this workshop.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn rules for good organization of data
  • Name several statistical packages for analysis and one type of sof‰ware that should never be used for statistical analysis
  • Participants will understand the necessity of nonparametric analysis
  • Understand the diference between independent and dependent data and variables
  • Participants will understand correct methodology for more than two sample comparisons and longitudinal comparisons
  • Understand when to use and how to interpret results from basic statistical tests
  • Understand the diference/importance of clinical importance, statistical importance,&efect sizes
